Embodied Ancestral Listening
- Camellia Lee & Ezekiel Goodwin
Addressing the root causes of hate crimes, Ezekiel Goodwin led an open dialogue towards understanding and combating misinformation. Participants were guided through the tools and exercises they can use to co-regulate the nervous system in the face of ancestral trauma and current trauma and violence. Participants had access to art supplies to allow for expression through nonverbal means. “We are less easily manipulated into hatred and aggression when we have tools to co-regulate our nervous systems.”
